Why can't you just wash yourselves?
We were married in 2010 for time and all eternity in the Newport Beach Temple (yep, it's pink). We work, go to school, and try to spend as much time together as possible!

a very merry fhe
This is from back in December, but I thought I'd post it now, because it was such a fun time!! We had some friends over and somehow managed to squeeze 14 people into our tiny apartment! After a great message from the Ensign, we got down to business making awesome gingerbread (or graham cracker) houses!
oh yeah, we had some pretty cool prizes too!
The winners! |

Zack's Birthday...
...was October 11, but I figure his birthday post is better late than never! For Z's birthday this year I was pretty excited. Z found all of his birthday presents early on ebay, in the form of golf clubs. So I wanted to throw him a little party.
I spoke with his brother Todd and we planned a dinner at Iggy's (so Zack could get his favorite food, a burger) and then we were going to go see a movie or something. I was very excited to pull off this surprise.

Well come the Friday after Z's birthday, he picks me up from school and we get home and Z goes right to sleep. I woke him up a while later with a lame excuse of needing to get something for a class from Deseret Book....I only have accounting classes, so why he believed me is a miracle.
He first tells me to go myself, but I pull the "but, it's Friday night" card.
Then he comes out in an old T-shirt and basketball shorts, so I say I want to go to the mall too, since we will be around there. (p.s. Z hates the mall)
He finally changes and we pull up to Deseret Book and I say that a friend just texted me and she is in Iggy's and I want to say hello.
This wouldn't seem like much, but we almost got into a fight right here. I think it had something to do with Z's tiredness and my ridiculous requests...but I finally get him to come along.
You think it went off fine from there? We got to the table Todd and Kendra were sitting at, I stopped and so did Z. He didn't even look at them. After a couple seconds of me glancing back and forth between them and him he finally noticed.
This is him finally seeing them. It would have been better if he had noticed when we first got to the table.
Todd and Kenj are soo nice, they Thanked Z for his birthday with some awesome movie tickets!
Z opening his gift from me. Apparently he saw the word "Relo" and was confused. It was actually Reload and they were refurbished ProV1s. He then asked who they were from.....me. It said so on the package, but I guess he doesn't like reading much.
Finally a normal picture.
Thanks Todd and Kenj we had a great time and Happy late Birthday Zack!

change
So....it's been a while. I guess I got busy and decided I didn't have time for this, but I figure I can make time. I have been thinking about life a lot lately and what I want from it. I know everyone is busy, but I have been feeling especially so in the Accounting Jr. Core at BYU (yes, I am being serious ha). Well there are some things I want to do with my life besides attend class and do homework.....and pinterest. I am making some changes starting with the way I look at things. I have been letting life run me and I need to run my own life. I am looking at my priorities and seeing what I can change. Now I know this all sounds very major and dramatic, and that is my point. Also, this all of these things I am saying are very vague..... I figure that if I write it down publicly that I am going make some changes that I will. Well stay tuned and I will let you know about all the new stuff!

surprise?!
Last night as we were on our way to Ross, Zack tells me that he has a surprise for me. At first I though he was joking, but when I asked him if it had monetary value and he said "yes" I realized that it was a real surprise!! I was begging to know what it was and he pretended like he wasn't going to tell me until I had been bugging him a while and he asked me if I wanted to know.....ummm NO!!! "That would ruin the surprise" I said. And then he told me he had to get something from his work (a gift card) and then he would get it.....it didn't take me long after a hint like that (The last time he got a gift card from his work it was to Target, so I figured it would be there. I know, I'm a smart cookie.)! I asked if he was getting me Tangled and I was right:)
Now some of you might say this ruined the surprise, but let me tell you, I was surprised :) Also, this is my favorite movie, what a thoughtful husband I have!
Then to make the night more perfect we got free G-Spoon (Golden Spoon for those of you not hip on the lingo). How you might ask? With coupons that said they only work in California. I guess maybe Utah isn't so bad.

Now if Utah could get a Ruby's Diner my life would be complete.
Do you see the resemblance? |
It's true, the food is great! |

So basically I suck at blogging, but I promise to post more! President's day weekend we got to go to Washington to see lots of family and our new nephew Finn. He is so adorable and I can't wait until I have one of my own;) (I know, I know...not till I graduate)
Anyways, we started off our stay with a visit to Blueberry Hills which is this amazingly cute little restaurant that grows their own blueberries!
We got to take a tour of Zack's old high school/middle school and say hi to all of his old favorite teachers. Then Momza took the girls shopping! It was so much fun spending time with just the girls:)
I also discovered a gem called La Brisa, which makes some of the best and most Mexican food I have ever had...needless to say I did not come close to finishing. We got to go on walks in the crisp Washington air that is the clearest I have ever seen. We also got to hear the cutest story of how Momza and Pops met and fell in love;) This weekend was packed with fun, food, and family and was totally worth the 13 hour drive:)
